Government – What They Don’t Teach – Intro

The federal government of the United States is one of the most misunderstood subjects today among all Americans within any demographic, including many conservatives. This is a direct result of a corrupted educational system designed to progressively dumb down Americans so that they become unsuspectingly weak and subservient to government.

Not only do most citizens not understand how the founders intended the government to function but we are seeing a growing number of our own legislatures completely ignorant to something as simple as the structure of our government.

In a recent call with Justice Democrats, a progressive political action committee out of Knoxville, TN., Rep. Alexandria Casio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) demonstrated her already evident lack of civics knowledge when she said”

“If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress — Uh, rather, all three chambers of government: the presidency, the Senate, and the House…”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D N.Y.)

Wrong on both accounts Congresswoman. But I don’t want to single out Rep. Ocasio-Cortez – I don’t want her to get her feelings hurt thinking that I am only picking on her. There are plenty of others who seem to be equally challenged in the field of government and civics. Such is the case with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) who recently claimed, in an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, that the federal government had 2 co-equal branches of government: “the President of the United States and the Congress”

But let’s not stop there – how about Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) who apparently went to the same school of civics as Ocasio-Cortez. He is of the same opinion that the three branches of government are the House, the Senate and the President.

That’s enough picking on the Dems’ for their obvious lack of attendance during high school civics class. Regardless of political party, it is an utter disgrace that our own legislators do not even know the most fundamental concepts and constructs of our own government.

I for one would happily support some form of aptitude test or assessment process for any person who wishes to run for a political office in this nation. At the very minimum, perhaps we should at least insist on a list of basic civics questions that must be answered correctly during a debate before a candidate is allowed to be declared victorious. Something for Christs’ sake.

In the private sector, a business owner or manager doesn’t hire someone just because they want the job and their idealistic. They vet the potential candidates first so that they can get a better understanding of their skill-sets and what they bring to the table. They need some assurances that the candidate has a sound understanding of the industry and standard practices within the industry. They want to know that the new hire will be able to make a positive contribution to the organization and to the overall market – which would explain why socialist minded people tend to flounder in the private sector. Is it too much to ask the same of the people that will be creating the laws that will govern our children and grandchildren for years to come?

But here is an even better idea – one that will solve a lot more problems than just that of the intellectual capacity of our politicians – let’s make the voters smarter and more knowledgeable. After all, the only thing a tyrannical government fears more than armed citizens are well educated citizens. In fact, I would venture to say that a tyrannical government cannot exist among a well-educated voter base.

For those of you who have a sound general understanding of our government and the principles upon which our government was founded, could you imagine a Pelosi or a Schumer or a Flake being elected to government office if all of the voters had that same level of understanding as yourself? I can’t!

What about mainstream media or Hollywood? Wouldn’t they still have influence? Wouldn’t they still be able control the narrative and act as the lefts’ propaganda arm? Listen, the only reason any of these types of outlets are successful is because the viewers are too ignorant to reject them. Ignorant and weak minded people are convinced that they need these masters and that their message is critical. People are convinced that if someone is willing to stick a microphone in front of some movie star or singers face, then it must be because they are highly intelligent, and we should listen to what they have to say.

News flash: Most of these people are highly ignorant and can only repeat what they hear from the other highly ignorant people within their own circles. From a prosperity and success standpoint, they would do themselves a service by sticking to what they do best – being the court jester whose sole purpose is to entertain us.

Most of these people fall into one of two camps: 1) Either they feel themselves to be part of the elitist group and that their victory will secure them more power and prestige or 2) they are simply weak-minded individuals and products of the same dumbing down educational system as the rest of the people and due to their ignorance they actually believe that their cause is noble in nature. The biggest problem with either of the groups is that they have a platform from which to spew their lies and ignorance.

Here is where the real beauty of educating voters starts to pay off – If you have educated voters, you also have educated consumers, and when you have educated consumers, you have consumers who will stop supporting the elitist mainstream media types and the ignorant Hollywood types. Once they lose their support, their platform gets taken away. That is what a free market system at work looks like. It is a completely natural thing of beauty and pure strength that can’t be overpowered.

Now we can begin to understand why the progressive left set its sights on controlling the American education system some 60 years ago instead of going directly for our guns, which clearly would have been the shortcut to tyranny. Sixty years ago, even the most liberal of individuals would have been far too smart in the ways of politics, government and history to even consider submitting to overbearing gun regulations and controls much less surrendering their guns. But I think most people would agree that the thought of repealing the 2nd amendment and seizing our guns is not that far out of reach anymore as the idea of doing so gains more and more favorable support among the masses everyday.

So, what do we do? As a society, as parents and as stewards of our own future and destiny, it is our responsibility to ensure that we ourselves and our children and grandchildren go out into this world knowing the truth, understanding history, understanding the principles upon which this nation was founded, and understanding how the founders secured those principles through the creation of the most unique form of government ever fashioned…so unique in fact, that they referred to it as “the great experiment”.

It is to that end, that I am writing this series of articles defining how our current democratic Republic, as defined by the founders, is intended to operate and function, according to the founders vision, while at the same time, demonstrating exactly how and why this form of government has been viewed as a direct threat to the socialist progressives and the steps that the progressive left have taken in an effort to destroy the Republic so that they may institute their own form of globalist regime.

Please join me on this journey and if you find it nourishing to your intellect, please share each of these articles with as many people as possible for that is the only way that we will be able to disseminate the truth among the masses. Until the point in time when we can regain control of the educational system, currently being held hostage by the progressive socialist left, we are the voice that must be heard because we are “WE THE PEOPLE”!
